At least 10 friends, colleagues and co-stars of television actress, Pratyusha Banerjee, have offered to reveal details about her life, a lawyer has said on Monday.
These details, the 10 have claimed, could help police in the ongoing investigations into her suicide.
Lawyer Falguni Brahmabhatt said that these 10 persons were close to Banerjee and are ready to share the information with police.
I have submitted a list of 10 people to the Bangur Nagar Police Station today (Monday) and they are likely to be called for giving their versions tomorrow (Tuesday).
However, she declined to reveal the names of the 10 friends on grounds that attempts could be made to pressurise or influence them.
Banerjee’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh was hospitalised on Sunday while he was being questioned by the police for his knowledge of the case.
Banerjee’s parents had alleged that Raj abused their daughter. In response to the allegations, Raj’s father said on Monday that it was Banerjee’s parents who took control of all her money. His sister has said that everyone should wait for the investigation before drawing conclusions. She countered the queries related to claims of abuse by questioning why the people making these claims had failed to raise their voices when the alleged abuse first came to their notice.
