Move over TVS, Mahindra and Honda. There’s a new scooter kid in town, Piaggio’s Aprilia. This 150-cc two-wheeler will be available in the country soon for Rs 65,000 which puts it directly in competition with quite a few motorcycles.

But for what it’s worth, the Aprilia SR 150 in nothing like the Pulsar or an Activa. This scooter reminds us of the Kinetic Blaze, a 150-cc scooter that was seen blazing the roads few years back.

2. BMW 1 Series Gets a Sedan Makeover, But It’s Not Coming to India

BMW has country-specific models across its segment and for the first time, we get to see their 1 Series in a sedan avatar. Sadly, the automaker has decided that only consumers in China need their new hot wheels, which means no chances of it coming over to the Indian shores.

The car was first showcased at the Guangzhou Motor Show 2015 and BMW reiterates that the 1 Series originates from the Concept Compact sedan which was on display at the event. BMW claims to have tailor made the 1 Series for consumers in China, keeping their driving habits in mind.

3. At Rs 1.06 Crore, Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition Gives You Extra

Porsche has upgraded its Cayenne line up in India with a Platinum Edition model that comes enamelled with exclusive features. The SUV gets a sporty makeover and greets its passenger with a Platinum Edition plating.

As mentioned by the automaker, the Cayenne Platinum Edition (PE) gets a like-to-like design with the RS Spyder, mostly recognised by its 20-inch wheels.

Inside the SUV, you get leather sport seats with electric eight-way adjustment, Alcantara centre panels and the Porsche crest on all headrests.

4. Gadkari’s Wooing of Musk’s Tesla to India Is a Pipe Dream For Now

It seems like each minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet are taking turns to convince Tesla to Make in India. Earlier this year, the PM himself went over to their plant in the US, where he was hosted by none other than Elon Musk.

And now, we havetransport minister Nitin Gadkari doing his bit to get into Tesla’s good books and compel them to see India as their hub outside of the US.

But as expected, Tesla’s views clearly suggest that India is not in their plans, at least for now.
