Taking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India campaign forward, the Delhi Police announces the launch of an exclusive initiative by the team to develop a web-based application dedicated to its martyrs. The app titled ‘E-book for Martyrs’ is primarily designed by the Delhi Police to pay a tribute to their colleagues who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
The app has been developed by ACSG Corp – an elite Homeland security firm – to serve in SMAC (Social, Mobile, Analytics, and Cloud) space and is in line with PM Narendra Modi’s digital drive for the country.
The PM’s vision, as discussed at the 49th All India Conference of DGPs and IGPs, was that of creating an e-book that documents the stories of all its treasured martyrs. In keeping with this line of thought, E-Book for Martyrs is an apt platform to recognise and bring to light the sacrifices made by India’s martyrs as well as their family members.
The app acts as a medium to identify the lesser known heroes of our country who readily surrendered their lives while fighting for the people’s peace and security. The web developers have successfully pulled together this one-of-a-kind app, customised as per the requirements of the Delhi Police in a rather time-tight schedule.
It facilitates the integration of all the data related to the martyrs in a single place, making it easily available for all. Though the app has been created in English, the citation is consciously given in Hindi so that it can reach out to a much wider audience.
