1. Rain Disrupts Play As West Indies Falter to 48/4 on Day 4
The weather stands in the way of India going 2-0 up in the series after rain forced an early end to play on day four with the West Indies in deep trouble at 48/4 in their second innings and 256 runs behind the visitors.
Rain played hide and seek at Sabina Park as the hosts lost four wickets by lunch with only 15.5 overs being bowled.
While the sky was clear during the break, rain returned just minutes before the scheduled resumption of play. No play was possible thereafter, with the day called off at 3:40 pm local time.

2. Swiss Star Stan Wawrinka Pulls Out of Olympics Citing Back Injury
World number four Stanislas Wawrinka withdrew from the Rio Olympics with a back injury on Tuesday, dealing another body blow to the tennis tournament which has been hit by a series of high-profile pull-outs.
The 31-year-old is the third Swiss player to withdraw after Roger Federer and Belinda Bencic also withdrew from the event because of injury.

3. WADA Says Narsingh’s Clean Chit Will Be Reviewed
A day after wrestler Narsingh Yadav was exonerated of doping charges by the National Anti-doping Agency (NADA), its parent world body WADA said that it will review the case, according to PTI.
World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Communications Coordinator Maggie Durand said that it has requested the NADA to send the case file so that it can review it.

WADA can appeal against a decision of Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel or Appeals Panel of any of its member countries to the CAS. If WADA appeals against the decision of the disciplinary panel at the ad hoc division of the CAS, specifically constituted to render decisions quickly during the Olympics, Narsingh may have to wait some more days to know his fate regarding his participation in the Rio Games.
4. BCCI Approves Two-Match T20 Series Against West Indies in Florida
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has approved a two-match T20 series against West Indies in Florida on 27 and 28 August.
BCCI confirmed the series officially via a tweet from its official twitter handle.
Both matches will be played at Fort Lauderdale in Florida. The matches will start at 7:30 pm IST. The squad for the T20 series is yet to be announced.

5. Indian Hockey Team Beat Spain 2-1 In Practice Game Ahead Of Rio
Forward Akashdeep struck a field goal while Rupinder Pal Singh converted a penalty corner as the Indian men’s hockey team beat Spain 2-1 in a practice match ahead of the Olympic Games on Tuesday.
India are scheduled to play one more practice game before they begin their Games campaign against Ireland on Saturday.
Skipper PR Sreejesh said since they had lost to Spain in Madrid before coming to Brazil, it can be considered a good omen ahead of the tournament.

6. Shot-Putter Inderjeet Singh’s B-Sample Also Tests Positive
Shot putter Inderjeet Singh’s confirmatory B sample also returned positive for banned substances, virtually ending his hopes to compete in the Rio Olympics.
The 28-year-old Inderjeet’s ‘A’ sample had returned positive for banned steroids androsterone and etiocholanolone on 25 June and now his B sample has also tested positive for the same substances. Inderjeet has been provisionally suspended and served a second notice by the National Anti-Doping Agency.
He will have to appear before the NADA Disciplinary Panel for a hearing and he will be given a chance to present his case before the panel.
Since the time Inderjeet failed his first dope test, he has maintained that he is innocent and has claimed conspiracy against him.
