- The CBI may file multiple charge-sheets against the Chairman of UB group Vijay Mallya, sources saying that it would have been easier in terms of procuring evidence if affected banks had filed FIRs against Mallya.
- Under the one FIR filed by the CBI, they have brought exposure of all banks who had given loan to Mallya, and CBI sources said that they can now file separate charge-sheets against him.
- The agency may have to expand the ambit of its search from the loan of Rs 900 crore from IDBI bank to all the banks which were exposed by the Mallya’s bank loan default, which include State Bank of India and 12 other banks.
