In an interview to the state broadcaster DD News, Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das said that the upcoming Budget will be growth-oriented.

This implicitly signals that the Budget will address the investment crisis of the economy, suggests a Livemint report.

Das has revealed in the interview that the schemes like Make In India, Digital India, Start-up India, Stand-up India, and Skill Mission will be the focus of the Budget.

The state broadcaster published a series of interviews with the key office-holders in the Finance Ministry.

According to the report, Jayant Sinha, Finance Minister of State, has said that the poverty eradication, farmers’ prosperity, job creation and a better quality of life for all Indian citizens will be the four pillars of the Budget.
