Over 200 differently abled people, including students, participated in a plantation drive in Delhi on Sunday.

The drive was organised on the occasion of World Environment Day, as part of the Clean Air India Movement (ClAIM), the country’s biggest awareness programme against air pollution.

The participants marched from India Gate to Guru Harikrishna Public School at Purana Quila road, where the saplings were planted.

Simple acts like planting more trees and looking after them will help us to a great extent in protecting our environment. Initiatives like ClAIM can ensure and give all the support needed to protect the environment.
Imran Hussain, Delhi’s Environment Minister

“Saving environment is a collective responsibility of citizens, wherein citizens could play their part by planting more trees and looking after them and by adopting simple environment-friendly measures like turning off the engines at the red light and using more public transport,” said Vijay Kannan, Founder, ClAIM.
