Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra’s Kala Chashma from Baar Baar Dekho is already the favourite shaadi song of the year. And while everyone is busy talking about Katrina’s killer abs and AIB’s Rohan Joshi’s blink ‘n’ miss appearance, Shudh Desi Videos decided that the groovy hit deserves a parody.
The parody that could’ve been funny and light hearted, ended up leaving a bad taste in our mouths. We don’t mind Yash Thakur’s vocals as much as we mind his lyrics. This one is a needless dig at everything ranging from Katrina’s break-up with Ranbir to her acting skills. They didn’t spare Sidharth either. The rap remix rips apart his career choices and also gets downright mean about his rumoured link-up with Alia Bhatt.
But here’s the thing... making fun of Katrina’s gora rang and obvious popularity is not intelligent comedy. Other than the clever sync job to the grand original track, everything about this remix is a bit lame.
Don’t blame us, we loved the original. And our guess is that you’ll give this wannabe parody a thumbs down too.
