Filmmakers Vikas Bahl and Anurag Kashyap have moved the Bombay High Court against the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) over the Udta Punjab controversy.

The co-producers have sought a copy of the Censor Board Review Committee’s report on the film. The case is likely to be heard on Thursday.

The board has asked the filmmakers to drop the word “Punjab” from the title, claiming that it defames the state in talking about its rampant drug abuse. The board suggested a total of 89 changes to the film before it gives its approval.
