Style Evolution: 2015 Made Parineeti, Sonakshi & Alia True Divas

Timid conformists to bold experimenters, Parineeti, Sonakshi & Alia have come a long way in their fashion journeys.

It’s December and as the year is inching towards a close, we can’t help but admire the spectacular evolution of fashion choices and style statements made by Bollywood divas Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt and Parineeti chopra.

These spunky divas are Bollywood’s youngest faces and not only have they grown in terms of their on-screen prowess but have also learnt how to carry off just about anything. It’s time to take a sneak peek into their transforming closets, so here goes:

Parineeti Chopra

Pari has never tried too hard to break free from the clichéd image of a small-town girl. She, au contraire, let the fashion police take a dig at her, week after week. Parineeti was yet to explore her strengths and identify her weaknesses.

With exposure and experience she turned herself into a fashion photographer’s delight. She’s learnt the art of tactfully juggling her assets and bringing her spunk onto the camera with a concoction of casual, confident and trendy looks. You see how she makes a basic black tee look so stunning!

And before we knew it, Parineeti had imbibed the fashion formulae and she now dazzles in every attire. Be it a glamorous gown, a funky dress or an easy pair of shorts, Pari just owns what she wears and how!

Sonakshi Sinha

As a new entrant into the film industry, Sonakshi liked to play it safe. ‘Pick out a dress and you have little to worry about’ was the way to go. While she didn’t particularly spell disaster, but she did fail to stand out.

But thankfully, somewhere along the way, she dared to trash her conventional dresses and got bold. High-waist skirts, really short shorts and bomber jackets, now those were quite the leap for Miss Sinha.

Gradually she realised her true potential and became the dabangg fashionista she is today. Now she whips out one sensational look after the other and versatility has become her trump card. Fearless, suave, grunge or elite, Sonakshi is ruling all the looks in the book and outside it.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt definitely put her wrong foot forward when she entered Bollywood’s tinseltown. And tinseltown has high expectations, especially from its home-grown. Alia tried everything from plain gaudy, to OTT and even the understated, but nothing did the trick.

Though soon enough we saw Alia moving up the ladder with her fashion choices that were fresh and uniquely personal. Wasn’t that the formula to swear by from day one Alia? Her summery dresses and short skirts accentuated her legs and even for formal dos, she stuck to elegant gowns, as opposed to being all bright and blingy.

And then, the caterpillar turned into a butterfly, ready to soar. Alia’s balanced avatar now defines her niche and she sticking to the basics really works well for her. All she does is a little bit of manoeuvring, to add her own refreshing flavour.
