Kiran Bedi is back on the Twitter trolls' radar. And as usual it’s her own doing.
It all seems to have started with a tweet someone sent Bedi asking her to (excuse me) “just shut up”.
Bedi of course, responded without tagging the person.
It seems this innocent suggestion from a supporter, we presume, created a storm on the micro blogging site.
Come to think of it, it would’ve been a fairly routine evening for the Tweeple with some prime time media bashing or calling the Congress Vice-President names. And after this long and arduous daily programme from supper to dinner is over, they’d have gone to bed with an abuse of two towards some – what are they called? Ah, right “presstitutes”.
But then, the fiery Bedi one response became the topic of discussion.
We understand that Bedi blocked the person who triggered this response.
But this 140 character monster triggered a host of attacks, counter attacks and a few jokes too. We innocently clicked on the trending hashtag #BediBlocks and this was unleashed.
And as usual, some Tweeple were more creative than the others.
Aam Aadmi Party’s Ankil Lal also seems to have chimed-in.
But to be fair to her, Bedi is a popular leader.
She might not have won the election but she’s popular.
She might be a huge example of foot-in-mouth leaders on Twitter, but she’s popular. So she got some support too.
Some backed her strongly.
Some gave her advice. Like, of course, the guy who seems to have started it.
And then there was this one really random tweet.
But if you look at the overall activity, one can conclude that Kiran Bedi once again brought Twitter to life, in her signature style.
